This is new hotel, conveniently located very close to the central train station in Potsdam. Take the exit to Friedrich-Engels-Straße, turn right and you already see the new nice looking building about 300 m away on the other side of the street "Lange Brücke" (long bridge). The reception and breakfast area is on the first floor (Erdgeschoss), well lighted with large windows. Everything looks new, nice and neat. (No worries, no smell at all from construction materials or new furniture, also not in the corridors or in my room). The standard room I booked is small with minimalistic furniture, but I like it simple anyway. The tiles in the bathroom are real cool and nice looking, so is the carpet and color arrangement in the floors.
The staff was friendly, but you need to be a bit patient, as several if them are new and still being trained on the software to check in. 😊
No doubt, next trip to Potsdam I will chose the same hotel.

Hơn ba mươi phút để nhận phòng, quán bar không mở cửa vào buổi tối hôm đó. Một khởi đầu tồi tệ, tôi đã viết thư cho công ty và chưa có hồi âm. Khách sạn đẹp, nhưng không có dịch vụ khách hàng. Tôi sẽ không trở lại. Phòng, ăn sáng và vị trí là tốt. Nó trở lại chuỗi thông thường tôi sử dụng

Very clean room.

One minor thing is no refrig and port in the room.

Awfull customer service

The hotel was otherwise okay but the customer service was horrible. I was not the only one traveling for the event having some kind of problem with their booking. Here is some of my experiences.
- Most of the front desk workers know almost no English
- They do not know themself that you can reserve their room from the niu, and not only booking.com
- When I arrive, I am told my reservation does not include breakfast (even tough it was included) and required to pay it again. This was returned the next morning when I asked again, but a friend that had the same thing happen was not properly returned the money.
- I also noticed I was billed more than my order stated and when I asked about it they used a lot of time (half a day) to try to figure it out, and then told me in broken English everything is in order
- When I was leaving they then tell me they owe me money, but can't pay me back right then as they have a problem in the system, and tell me to come back some hours later before I leave the city. When I return they say they still have a problem and can't pay me back yet, but that they will contact me and took my email on a paper note. They were also unable to print a proper invoice. This was 6 days ago and they have still not contacted me, nor answered my email I sent them about the problem.
- They are part of IHG one reward, but they have failed to connect my stay to my membership number I provided.

Overpriced not worth it.

Was a disappointing stay not as good as other holiday inns we have stay in, the staff were friendly but we booked a double bedroom but it was two single mattresses together and they kept coming away with two single duvets. There was no tea or kettle in the room and breakfast was not worth the price the scrabble egg was rubbery not fresh. As it’s not a cheap hotel I didn’t think it was worth the price it was the same level as an IBIS budget hotel just the interior is a bit snazzier. To note last year we stayed in the other holiday inn in Potsdam and it was by far so much better!
