Perfect getaway
The location is very good, not far from the sea. Very good starting point for long walks, a few minutes drive from Westerland.

TUI BLUE Sylt - never again
I want to start with the absolute negative point first.
SPA area
My son (12 years) and I like to go to the sauna. At about 17:00 my son was told that the “family sauna” is over and he now has to leave the sauna area. In addition, complaints have been received that a child is in the sauna area. I saw the lady who complained again this morning at breakfast. It was the lady who threw the tea bag wrapper across the room - funny, they didn't behave, complain -. Never mind! I was amazed at the reaction of the employees. I'd have to understand, these are the rules. With the statement “So what”, the conversation was ended by the employee. For me a “no go”.
Breakfast
“You get what you pay.” Breakfast is good for this price. But here too, compromises have now been made. I like to drink tea in the morning. Here they switched from loose tea to tea bags. The tea is still very good quality, Ronnefeldt. But why? In addition, the small bowls for Kluntje were saved. I then had to take a cereal bowl for the Kluntje. Yeah, they're little things, but that sucks.
Dinner / buffet
I can't judge because I only used it once last year. The quality had not convinced me at the time.
Room
There are three of us and we have a family room. It's all right.
Conclusion
It's all just little things and I certainly wouldn't have written if it wasn't for my son. I go on holiday with the TUI Group several times every year and will continue to do so...just not at TUI BLUE Sylt anymore.

wir freuen uns sehr, dass Sie zu Gast in unserem Hause waren und bedanken uns, dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben, Ihre Eindrücke zu schildern.
Dass ihnen unser Frühstück und das Appartement prinzipiell gefallen haben, freut uns.
Ihre Hinweise beispielsweise zu unserer Präsentation des Tees nehmen wir dankend an und überlegen, ob wir diese umsetzen können.
Gerne möchten wir uns aber zum Thema des Saunabereiches äußern. Wenn wir in unserer Kommunikation vorab und vor Ort nicht transparent waren, bedauern wir das sehr. Letztlich versuchen wir vor Ort, den unterschiedlichen Bedürfnissen unserer Gäste gerecht zu werden.
Gerne ermöglichen wir es den Familien, unsere Sauna ab 10:30 bis 17 Uhr gemeinsam zu nutzen. Gleichzeitig ist uns aber auch das Ruhebedürfnis unserer erwachsenen Gäste bewusst. Daher halten wir es für eine gute Lösung, das Schwimmbad von 07 bis 08 Uhr nur für die Erwachsenen zum Sonnenaufgangsschwimmen zu öffnen und die Saunen sowie den Außenwhirlpool in den Abendstunden den erwachsenen Gäste vorzubehalten, die Ruhe und Entspannung in unserem BLUE Spa suchen.
In der Zeit von 08 bis 21 Uhr steht das Schwimmbad uneingeschränkt zur Verfügung, die Sauna ab 10:30 bis 17 Uhr.
Wir haben mit dieser Lösung bisher sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht, da jeder Gast das finden kann, was er sucht.
Sollten wir im Gespräch vor Ort nicht freundlich gewesen sein, bedauern wir das sehr. Letztlich ist gerade im BLUE Spa Wohlbefinden unser Ziel.
Wir hoffen, Sie und Ihre Familie haben dennoch wunderschöne gemeinsame Herbsttage verlebt und würden uns freuen, wenn Sie doch entscheiden, uns erneut zu besuchen!

Nice holiday, even with a few hurdles.
The hotel complex is relatively centrally located on the island, so you have a good starting point to cycle to the north or south of the island. Nearby there is a sushi shop, crepes stand and kiosk. The North Sea can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot.
Hotel/apartment:
We had booked a two-storey apartment which was not habitable due to water damage. The hotel provided us with two Vacation rentals connected by a hallway. These were both in good condition. The furniture was not worn out and the equipment offered everything necessary. Unfortunately, the kitchen did not have an oven. The bathrooms were a bit small but served their purpose. There were enough storage areas (cabinets, wall shelves etc.) and positive to mention are the curtains, which can really darken the room. Towels are only changed free of charge from 5 nights and free interim cleaning is only available from 7 nights. However, the Vacation rentals have brooms and vacuum cleaners, so it is no problem to briefly clean the rooms yourself. The Vacation rentals were very quiet, also the outdoor area. Only there were guests with a dog, which unfortunately appeared more often by its barking, as this nevertheless reverberated very much.
Service:
Very positive is the leisure offer, which can be booked partly free of charge for the children via the app. There are also paid leisure activities for adults, e.g. Taster courses in surfing. The hotel complex also has a kids club and a playground.
We find the organization worthy of improvement, as our Vacation rentals were not ready at 3 pm and we had to wait in the lobby after a long journey and with three children. There was also a bug in the billing system that had to be resolved during checkout. In both situations, the same service person did not convince with appropriate competence.
The hotel offers free shuttles to take luggage from the car to the accommodation. That saves ways!
Bicycles can be rented for a fee.
The hotel bar offers pinsas, which can be eaten or picked up locally.
We didn't test the restaurant, but there is one.
The hotel offers a free large baby kit. We haven't had that in a hotel before. Also you could order an additional free fallout protection for the bed and there was a step increase for children to get to the sink.
A water pipe damage during our stay (associated with 24h cold water) was only dismissed with the option to shower in the spa with other visitors. Even if no one can help it, we would have liked better customer support here (given the overnight price).
In addition to a swimming pool, the spa also offers an 80°C sauna (the additional outdoor sauna was defective). Unfortunately, we found the water in the bathroom too cold to linger really long (in bad weather this would have been desirable). The relaxation room of the sauna offered several loungers. Towels could be borrowed free of charge at the entrance. There were no infusions. What irritated us a bit were the sauna times. We especially visited the family sauna so that our kids could enjoy it. But if you then enter the sauna with the child and there sit 3-4 elderly gentlemen, it has little of family sauna. Here should definitely be improved, as our child felt uncomfortable due to a different expectation. For example, reference could be made to the adult sauna from 5 p.m. in order to preserve the family sauna as a family sauna. It would also be desirable to keep a closer eye on hygiene. The changing rooms were partly dirty (there was even a used swimming diaper on the floor).
Breakfast:
Breakfast was excellent!!! You could have fresh omelettes made, there were hearty (e.g. Scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, bacon, etc.), sweet (e.g. various jams, pastries, waffles, pancakes), various fruits, spreads, sausage, smoothies, juices, coffee specialties, etc. Unfortunately, a coffee machine was defective, which sometimes led to long waiting times. The service staff really quickly cleared the used dishes. All but one person were always very friendly and guest oriented. For parents who want to have breakfast in peace, there is a supervised play area for the children. Thumbs up!!! The carers were always very child friendly and reliable (even at the Kids Club).

Ihre Vorschläge zur Verbesserung der Saunazeiten und zur besseren Hygiene werden wir sorgfältig prüfen. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Ihnen unser Frühstücksangebot so gut gefallen hat und Sie die Vielfalt und Qualität zu schätzen wussten. Es tut uns leid, dass eine defekte Kaffeemaschine zu längeren Wartezeiten führte. Wir werden sicherstellen, dass alle Geräte stets funktionsfähig sind, um solche Unannehmlichkeiten zu vermeiden. Holiday in the category "Best holiday"!
The hotel itself was very quiet, which ensured a restful sleep. What was striking was the extremely friendly, courteous, very attentive and polite staff in all areas (reception, breakfast room, bar, room cleaning). Our apartment was very spacious and really offered a lot of space. The large windows and the patio door provided a lot of light in the room. The very well-equipped kitchenette was also practical.
We were particularly impressed by the creativity - although the spa area was not usable due to renovations, which was also expressly stated on the website (!), they still tried to offer quite a few treatments, which was a very nice idea! Some apartments were lovingly and attractively converted into spa treatment rooms. I was able to experience this during massage treatments, and I am grateful that such solutions were offered! At this point I would also like to praise and highlight the professionalism of the spa staff!
What we also enjoyed to the fullest every day was the extremely extensive breakfast buffet. All tastes were catered for - from Nordic fish, to vegetarian and vegan, to cold and warm, to sweet. The healthy food was striking, such as the daily changing smoothies, greenies, overnight oats, fruit variations, etc.
In the evening, the hotel's own bar invited you to linger. So every evening we enjoyed the beautiful bar atmosphere and ended the day with creative and tasty cocktails.
We felt very well looked after, were able to get our money's worth and enjoyed every minute in the hotel area - whether in the apartment, in the breakfast room in the morning, in the bar in the evening or during the day during the spa treatments.
If it were possible, we would give more than 5 stars! Thank you so much for this wonderful holiday - for us this holiday definitely belongs in our personal list of the "best" holidays, and the stay at Tui Blue plays a very large part in that! Thank you!!!
