Great value for money with fantastic staff
Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold food, the hash browns as an English traveller were particularly appreciated. This is served just across the road, at 115 The Strand.
Staff were also incredibly friendly, both at breakfast and at check in.
Whilst there is no swimming pool, the free access to the lido across the road was a bonus. Bands were collected from reception every morning. Normally the lido is €17 a day to use, so a great benefit of staying at the hotel. Pool towels can be collected from the lido.
I celebrated my birthday there and was touched by the staffs efforts to decorate the room with balloons. Extremely thoughtful indeed.
Cons:
- The hotel room floor was not always the cleanest, despite us asking for it to be mopped. Wonder if this is due to the dust outside rather than a lack of cleaning.
- Mattress was particularly hard, but I am used to a softer one at home
All in all, excellent value for money.

Good accommodation at a fair price
Mattresses pretty hard
Many have written that it is noisy ... but this is Malta, everywhere traffic and people, this is normal.
Breakfast in the restaurant across the street, along with hotel guests, sufficient.
Aqualuna also freely usable for Urban guests, not only for hotel guests of the beach hotel, generous possibility.
Reception The Strand very friendly.

We apologize for the issues with the shared kitchen, the empty jacuzzi, and the change in breakfast arrangements. These amenities should have been available and up to standard, and we are truly sorry for any disappointment this caused. Additionally, the lack of cleanliness in shared areas and your room, as well as the unfriendly interactions with some of our staff, are unacceptable, and we will address these matters urgently with our team.
