It was quite disappointing, perhaps because the visual expectations were high
The hot spring was said to be a carbonated spring, but it was a clear, colorless water. I doubt it is really a hot spring. The baths were filthy and uncomfortable. There was a town-run hot spring facility nearby, and there was an open-air bath with brownish ingredients that made the water so hot that I took a one-coin bath. In comparison, none of the hotel guests seemed to smile, and everyone seemed to be working. It's quite a shame to eat a meal that's cheap just because it looks. In particular, breakfast felt on the same level as free meals in business hotels.
