aka "Into The Woods" and "Chiang Dao Cloud Nine".
I arrived at about 1pm. No sign of life. It actually looked rundown, deserted and closed; except for 3 cats. This was not a good first impression. I had to ask for help at the resort across the road, Villa De View. They were extremely helpful. I was starting to wish I had booked their instead, albeit it’s more expensive. They phoned the owner, who said she'd arrive shortly.
When the host (owner?) arrived I was shown to my room. It was large. It was basic. She explained that breakfast would be available at 0830. Didn't make any mention of dinner so, based on her apparent rush to leave to go back to town, I had to assume there was none available... Didn’t explain the surroundings or mention any nearby restaurants, except keen to tell me about the best cafe “in town”, which was about 10-15km away, owned by her friend.
Room was clean, but basic.
Good, quiet, AC. There was also a wall mounted fan.
Bathroom was clean, but basic.
I was the only guest staying that evening.
Very good breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bread rolls, side salad. Bananas in warm coconut milk and an aloe vera drink.
I actually don’t recognise the vibrant photos and reviews on Booking.com for this property, as my experience was of a rundown property. It's strange that several of the recent high scoring reviews on Booking.com contain no comments.
The property has potential, the host was pleasant, the setting and views are fantastic, but it is severely lacking investment.

Beautiful setting - just a shame some things promised aren't available.
Unfortunately when we asked about all of the above, we were informed that:
- the 2 bikes which were available had already been rented out.
- the herbal spa isn't available any more
- and of the others we did not see anything/ or were told anything about the things we could do.
As much as the setting Is wonderful and the lady running it was super nice, it is in the middle of nowhere so we really were relying on the promise of bikes to be able to get around.
Unfortunately we cancelled our stay simply because we had no way to get around and the Lady kindly called a taxi for us to get back to the village and apologised.
We were very disappointed as this seemed idyllic on the description, however, if you are able to get around and don't mind about not having some of the things mentioned I would still recommend the resort.
